Truman Capote and Tennessee Williams shared a number of things: They were both Southern, both gay, both famous writers, both alcoholics and both died fairly young. But only Capote was a real rock star; Tennessee Williams was not, despite having written some of the most famous plays ever to be staged on Broadway.
