Emmy-winning journalist serving as Press Assistant for the Office of the Governor of Nevada.
In the Communications Department for Governor Steve Sisolak, my responsibilities include writing speeches, video messages, letters, social media posts, quotes and more on behalf of the Governor. I'm also responsible for working with large teams to brainstorm and execute events to promote the work happening in the State of Nevada, send press releases and pitch stories to media. In this role I work with communications departments across all state agencies to copy edit, review and uplift messaging.
Previously worked as a Senior News Producer at Fox5 KVVU-TV Las Vegas.
During my time at Fox5, I produced an hour of television every day, with a hyper-focus on local stories and voices, as well as taking national stories and breaking them down for local impact. As Senior News Producer, I managed reporters and producers to elevate their stories and execute live on-air. I also produced after-game specials after the World Series and football games airing on our channel.
I graduated from UNLV in the school of Urban Affairs for Broadcast Journalism and Media Studies in 2018. While there, I worked on productions at UNLV-TV and ran Zeta Tau Alpha's social media and online presence.
In 2018, I worked in Washington, D.C. with the National Endowment for the Arts as an intern under the Senior Deputy Chairman. I have previously worked for PBS, TravelingMom and Wired Safety. I worked with Disney, Google and Microsoft through TravelingMom and Wired Safety.
